Role Overview
We are seeking an international Platform Engineering Intern (Frontend Focus) to participate in a structured J-1 Trainee Program, supporting early-stage platform development during a defined 90-day evaluation period.
This role focuses on frontend implementation, internal tooling, QA support, and operational coordination under senior technical leadership. The position is training-oriented and designed to provide hands-on exposure to U.S.-based technology operations in a controlled, compliant environment.
Continuation beyond the initial 90-day period is not guaranteed and is subject to performance, program eligibility, and business needs. If extended, the role may continue under the J-1 program or transition to a revised agreement where legally permissible.
Key Responsibilities
This role does not own system architecture, algorithm design, regulatory submissions, or production clinical interfaces.
Build and maintain internal frontend dashboards and tools using modern web frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript)
Support QA and testing workflows, including test UI development and validation tooling
Assist with internal admin panels, data visualization components, and developer tools
Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to consume defined APIs
Support documentation, coordination, and workflow organization
Participate in structured training activities aligned with the J-1 program objectives
This role does not involve ownership of system architecture, algorithm design, regulatory submissions, or clinical-facing production systems.
Training & Program Scope (J-1 Specific)
Under the J-1 Trainee Program, participants may assist with:
Data preprocessing support
Model testing and quality assurance workflows
Internal tool development
Documentation and research support
Exposure to U.S.-based engineering and development practices
All visa sponsorship, SEVIS compliance, and immigration oversight are handled by designated third-party J-1 program sponsors. This role does not provide legal or immigration advice.
90-Day Evaluation Focus
During the initial 90-day period, evaluation will be based on:
Ability to deliver working internal frontend components
Adherence to training objectives defined in the J-1 program plan
Code quality, clarity, and maintainability
Communication and collaboration with team members
Reliability and compliance with program requirements
Compensation
Full-time, salaried role
Compensation set in accordance with program guidelines and applicable wage requirements
No deferred wages or guaranteed future compensation
Eligibility for a discretionary extension or program-completion bonus, subject to sponsor rules and company discretion
Eligibility & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
Eligible for participation in a J-1 Trainee Program via a designated sponsor
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript, JavaScript)
Familiarity with basic testing and QA workflows
Strong organizational skills and willingness to operate within structured training frameworks
Clear professional communication skills in English
