Role Overview

The Platform / Backend Software Engineer designs, builds, and maintains core application services, APIs, and orchestration layers that support data flow, machine learning model execution, and overall system reliability. This role focuses on backend and platform-level engineering, ensuring that services are scalable, secure, and resilient, and works closely with machine learning, frontend, and DevOps teams to support production systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that support platform functionality.
Manage application-layer data flows and service integrations.
Support secure and reliable integration of machine learning outputs into application services.
Collaborate with DevOps teams on infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring.
Ensure system stability, scalability, and performance across environments.
Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
Maintain clear documentation for backend services and platform workflows.

Required Qualifications

Professional experience developing backend or platform services in production environments.
Proficiency with one or more backend programming languages and frameworks.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful or service-based APIs.
Familiarity with data flow management, service orchestration, and system integration.
Understanding of security, reliability, and scalability principles.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
