

Platform Engineering Intern (Frontend Focus)
Location: Remote / Hybrid (U.S. - based preferred)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Platform Engineering Intern (Frontend Focus) to support early-stage platform development during a defined 90-day evaluation period. This role is structured as a full-time internship focused on frontend implementation, internal tooling, quality assurance support, and cross-functional coordination.
This position is not guaranteed to convert to a long-term role. At the conclusion of the 90-day period, the company and the intern will mutually determine whether to conclude the engagement or continue under a revised full-time agreement. If extended, the role may continue as Platform Engineering Associate or transition to Frontend Engineer (Frontend Focus), depending on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain internal frontend dashboards and tools using modern web frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript)
Support QA and testing workflows, including test UI development and validation tooling
Assist with internal admin panels, data visualization components, and developer tools
Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to consume defined APIs
Support documentation, coordination, and workflow organization during early development
Contribute to general execution and coordination needs during the platform build phase
This role does not own system architecture, algorithm design, regulatory submissions, or production clinical interfaces.
90-Day Evaluation Focus
During the 90-day period, success will be evaluated based on:
Ability to deliver working internal frontend components
Quality, maintainability, and clarity of code
Responsiveness to feedback and collaboration with senior engineers
Reliability, organization, and execution discipline
Ability to operate effectively in an early-stage, fast-moving environment
Compensation
Full-time, salaried role
Compensation set at or above applicable minimum salary requirements, based on location
No deferred wages, accrued pay, or guaranteed future compensation
Eligibility for a discretionary conversion or extension bonus if the company elects to continue the engagement under a new agreement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript, JavaScript)
Familiarity with basic testing practices and QA workflows
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work full-time during the evaluation period
Comfortable working in a structured evaluation and milestone-based environment
